Go Green with Reusable Nursing Pads
I am a breastfeeding mom and have been using nursing pads for a while. However, I have found that the pads were always way too thick, so I decided to make my own to avoid the “do-I-see-saucers-in-your-bra? look” 🙂
This auction includes 2 washable pads (1 pair) that have 2 layers of 55% hemp/45% organic cotton fleece. You can choose how many pairs you would like. The fabric is semi-bleached natural hemp and is light cream in color.
The hemp fabric is wonderfully soft against the skin, has great absorption and, added bonus, it is naturally antimicrobial. I would recommend these for a moderate to heavy letdown.
Each pad is approx. 4.5 inches across and surged around the edges to prevent fraying. For comparison, the pad is about the thickness of 4-layer flannel.
Machine washable and dryable. For better absorbtion – do not use a dryer sheet.
BREASTFEEDING TIP:
For your baby to get as much as possible of the nutrition rich ‘hind’ milk, nurse on one side only per feeding session and switch to the other side next session.
